Aluminium Melting Furnaces

Electric arc furnaces (EAF) use electric arcs to melt aluminium. These furnaces are primarily used in large-scale operations and recycling processes. The electric arc is generated between electrodes, and the heat from the arc melts the aluminium. While energy consumption in EAFs can be high, they offer excellent flexibility in terms of adjusting the furnace temperature, which can be useful in producing different grades of aluminium.

Rotary Furnaces for Aluminium

Rotary furnaces are typically employed for recycling aluminium scrap. These furnaces consist of a rotating drum, which allows the scrap aluminium to be evenly heated. The rotary motion helps the scrap melt uniformly while ensuring that impurities are separated effectively. This type of furnace is particularly suitable for low to medium production volumes, offering a more energy-efficient option compared to some other furnace types.
